Sounds like your problem could be your electronic ignition. It is either ignition or fuel. You need to determine which is the problem.
Since your problem is intermitent, I would guess the ignition module is going. If so, it will fail completely eventually. I assume that your truck has this
module instead of a distributor. That is where the coils will be also. A good ohm meter is needed and a service manual to diagnose.

: I realize dear brothers this is a tractor page, but does anyone know of a site similar to this for pick-em-up trucks? My 1990 farm truck is now hard to start, dies when idling, and fuel consumption is no good. I just put on new fuel filter, plugs and no help. Reason Im confused is it's not a consistent problemo. Sometimes it does it, sometimes not. Any ideas? 1990 Chevy V6 EFI if that helps any. Thanks mucho! Mama has to use that truck when when I'm gone, so right now she not a happy camper. I gotta move fast on this one.
