I am considering purchasing 1975 gas model with PS, Dual PTO, only 850 hours and l in really sweet condition for approx $5400. I will be using for light grading and boat hauling. However primary function will be for general mowing. Is there or does anyone know about an under carriage mower deck. what are the size options and where will I find one. Is this a common used part or will I need to fork out big dollars for a new unit? Seriously considering but I'd appreciate some help in selecting a first tractor. It seems a liitle overkill as a lawnmower but it seems like a much better investment than a smaller garden tractor which could may have problems launching a decent sized boat or doing any significant work. Is bigger really better or will I be happier with a big garden tractor. Any one been here before? What do you recommend?
