: : I understand that 8N tractors built after 1951 have adjustable tappets but require special
: : tools which are left and right hand tappet holding wrenches, part nos. 8N17046A and 8N 17045A
: : respectively. Also a shortened, ground down tappet wrench is required. Does anyone know
: : where these tools can be purchased? Any substitutes available anywhere?
: : My Inoperative 8N is now operational but needs rings and probably a valve job. Thanks
: : for all your previous suggestions. Bill

: Bill,

: I have a 52 8N and I got the tappet tools from my Ford/New Holland dealer. I do not know if they still sell them as it has been about fifteen years ago that I got mine in Fla. Good Luck
: Alex
tisco has these tools check them out right here on the net
