As you're probably aware, the Allis-Chalmers RC is
essentially an underpowered WC (WC with a B/C engine),
but, they are popular with collectors now because there were
only about 5500 made. Like the Allis WF, their best function
is to collect them - they weren't much of a farm tractor,
which explains the unpopularity of the RC and WF during
production.
In your situation, I would ask the owner what he wants
for it, and, if he says that he doesn't know what it
is worth, I would offer $100-$200 as a starting place.
A tractor not running, but, essentially complete is generally
considered to be a '$300' tractor.
