: : Hello from the Central Coast of California:

: : I am looking at a B7000 owned by a widow and need the help of an expert like you please. It is a Gray market job. Engine turns over but does not fire up or even smoke. I am going to try to crack the lines coming out of the fuel pump to see if it has pressure there. If so,
: : What might be my next step ??

: : It has a nice factory rototiller. how much are they new ?

: : Also has a box scraper. How much new ?

: : It has a well done custom made front loader too.

: : Are parts really that hard to get a hold of ?

: : Are manuals available for the gray market tractors ?

: : What usually breaks on these things ?

: : Can a roll bar be ordered through a dealer and fit on ?

: : Thank you in advance for helping me. I need unbiased help here .

I own a grey Kubota B7000 and can answer most of your questions.

You are aware, no doubt, of the glow plug that must be warmed up to fire the engine. Have you had any experience with a diesel engine. If that is not the problem, try cleaning the fuel filter and make certain the engine is getting fuel. In any event, I doubt that the engine has anything seriouly wrong with it. Try a diesel shop if all else fails.

As to the value of all you mentioned, I can only tell you that I paid about $5500 for essentially the same set up over two years ago. These tractors are 20+ years old, but mine has seen very little use.

I have had no trouble getting the few parts I need from GMT 1 800 700 Grey a company that specializes in grey market tractors. They are very knowledgable and helpful. They have manuals, spare parts, and accessories.

Nothing has broken on my tractor, but I do fine that the lack of a live PTO to be interesting and difficult when trying to mow with a hang-on rotary mower. I awaiting the arrival of a "over run clutch" that is supposed to make mowing much easier and safer.

ROPS (roll bar) is available for this tractor from any tractor dealer, but they aren't low cost! I haven't priced them lately.
