: I just bought an old 1940 farmall B and it ran once
: before I got it. Now it doesn't appear to be getting
: gas because the spark plugs aren't wet. It does have a spark. After I crank it over, gas
: pours out of the air intake - this doesn't seem right.
: What would cause this? I have checked for vacuum leaks
: and it has ran about 3 weeks ago so the cylinders
: shouldn't be dry.
: My thought right now is that maybe it is getting gas
: but the gas is too old to start it up. I'm going drain
: it and start with fresh gas

: Any Suggestions?

Dave -

One more suggestion: Pull each spark plug and put a couple squirts of motor oil (or a good blast of WD-40) into each cylinder. Your problem could be no compression due to dry cylinder walls/rings - the oil will make them seal.

Good luck!

Bob
