<< A bit o' history? NAA's were made in '53 and '54 only. Called the Golden Jubilee model to celebrate Ford's 50's anniversary.>>

ummm... approx. 3000 (I think there were 2872 or so) Golden Jubilee's were produced in late 1952 for delivery to Ford dealers in early 1953. The (52-) '53 model NAA Ford tractor was introduced during the 50th year of the Ford Motor Company, so is generally referred to as the "Golden Jubilee" model. The hood emblem of model NAA tractors manufactured in ('52-) '53 bear the legend "GOLDEN JUBILEE;" the legend being eliminated from the hood emblem of NAA tractors manufactured in 1954. The 1954 NAA was known simply as an NAA.

Many believe that the change in the hood emblem is the only difference between the ('52-) '53 Jubilee and the '54 NAA. There was actually one other change in the '54 NAA; the 4-speed transmission was geared slightly differently to compliment the "new" Red Tiger engine.

The 132 ci., 31 hp Red Tiger OHV engine was introduced in the NAA-series tractor and was used in the later 600-700 series tractors until it was replaced, in 1958, with the 172 ci., 45 hp Red Tiger OHV engine.

Mr. Pripps is an avid tractor buff/ historian/ author (I have several of his books), but if you want the nuts and bolts of it, you have to have an I&T Shop Service manual or similar publication. I would also suggest titles by Jeff Creighton.
