: Can anyone give me a diagram or easey to follow
: sketch on how to put lights back on a Ford 600
: tractor.Would like to have fashing lights on the rear
: and a regular white light looking to the implements.
: Help///
I think I can be of assistance. I just finished
installing some lights on my 8-N. I chose my lights more on function than on original styling.
For the white light I put on a rectangular unit that had a built in switch. It is
a new style halogen, works great. Bought it at my Ford dealer for $20
bucks. Run one hot wire to it from your battery or after you ignition
switch. I also put a flashing light on. I used a round (red/yellow lens)
light. Like the ones used on trailers. Mount a toggle switch on your dash,
connect a hot lead to one side, from the switch connect a flasher unit
(like the ones used for emergency flashers on your car), from the flasher
connect a wire to each one of your lights. I ran a ground wire to all of
my lights to my battery ground on the block. They all work fine!! If you need
brackets they can easiliy be made with strips of steel with holes that
can be found at the hardware store. I hope this all makes sense and is helpful.
I getting sleepy head right now. If you have questions send an e-mail or post.
Good luck!! It only takes a couple of hours depending on if you have to make things.
