: : My father recently aquired a PTO driven corn sheller. It is about 5' wide, 500lbs.,and has a 4' long infeed conveyor. The is no hitch, maybe used stationary? A 4' by 8" dia rotor spins at pto speed to do the shelling. There is a horz. enclosed auger at the bottom to move the kernels (that have fallen though a grate) to one end; The cobs are moved to the other end. Cobs and kernels are expelled w/blowers. The nameplate reads HABAN MFG. CO. Model # 200. A second nameplate is near the conveyor: GEHL Model #200DFA. I'm wondering if anybody has any info on this machine? We harvest about 500 bushels of corn a year and presently grind the whole ear for cow and chicken feed. thanks, Nat
: We had a 3pt skid mounted Haban #200 sheller that you had to shovel the corn into the hopper. I believe that Gehl sold these machines for awhile, and they made a Direct Feed Attachment for them. Some of these shellers were mounted on a truck or trailer with an engine and the DFA for custom work. Haban is still in business, building rototillers, sickle mowers, sweepers, etc. Made shellers into the early '80's. I wish I still had the address to give to you. Sold the machine last year for $650. ......... Thanks for the info. I just looked them up in the Thomas Regs. (Haban Mfg., Racine W.I. 414-637-8389). Did your sheller work well?, even if there was a little husk remaining on the ears? We are still fixing this one, so I haven't seen it run. thanks Nat
