The 45 was a good small combine in its day but fell a good bit short of its bigger brother the 55, then they went later to the 95 etc. etc. The emphasis on the 45 is small I'd say, but adequate for what it was intended. Gosh, if he's gonna give it to you, if nothing else it weighs something! Just the same old soup as for firing it up though checking to see if the engine is free and all that regular stuff. It is a slow machine and I think it used a Hercules engine. It is earlier than the 55, but the 55, 95, and 105 were built at the same time. The 95 did not replace the 55. I have a 1969-55 and it is a nice machine.
