: : I've have a problem with spark plugs burning rich, especially the first two, closest to the radiator. I've

: : checks out, compression is low but the same in all cylinders and does not burn oil. Only smokes

: hi Bob, you must have a thermostat installed ot it will ruin the motor! I guess if you dont have one, then someone has taken it out to prevent overheating. This is a mistake as it only makes matters worse. Whats the radiator like? with the cap off can you see water being pumped around? trhe rad may be blocked, if so unsolder the top header and use something like a dipstick to poke down the cores to get rid og the gunk. It could be a blown head gasket, this gives the impression of overheating at times and can be seen as bubbles in the rad water when filled to the brim and with motor running.
: good luck

Hi Tony

Thanks for feedback. I have found that someone removed the thermostat and I have ordered new one. I hope when I install it everything will be fine. I flushed out system this summer and refilled with new coolant/antifreeze. I don't know how much it has been run with no thermostat but will soon find out the results.
