: I have noticed a distinct power loss in my 9N. Last
: weekend it was pulling fine but now it will hardly
: pull itself out of a hole. It won't spin a wheel or
: bog down, it just sits there running and won't move.
: It runs fine on open ground when not under a load.
: Could the clutch be slipping? It runs smooth but
: could the carb need adjusting? Someone help me
: and tell me I don't have a major problem! Thanks

John,

There's a long rod that's under the clutch petal and extends to the clutch rod that penetrates the housing just forward below foot peg. You need to remove the carter key so you can loosen the lock nut and either extend or shorten the rod which ever way you see it needs to go. I think the fo4 manual calls for 3/4 inch free play in petal. Good luck!

Bob
