: : My Chamberlain D70 3 cylinder supercharged diesel has water in the crankcase (a lot).

: : Where is the most likely place for this to come from?

: : I notice the water pump driven off the end of the rootes type blower has some movement in the shaft. Could it leak past the water seal into the blower drive and then into the sump?

: : Before I pull off the cylinder head I would like to know where else to look.

: : Thanks.

: Bob,
: you might as well pull the head. The seal under the head between the cylinders(one between each pair of cylinders)is probabley bad.The airbox has a drain so any water getting in there will drain out. There is no connection where water can get around the liners to the oil.I just had this problem with my 2-53 and it was an easy fix. New gaskets cured the problem. If you have any questons email me.
: Buddy
YOU COULD HAVE A LEAK IN THE OIL COOLER . YOU MIGHT DO A TEST ON THAT.
