thanks for the info, I was hoping for a simple solution using the existing valve/reaction link system. (wishful thinking). I live on a 50 acre New England farm and we use a JD1050,420c(loader) and cubs for hay, corn, cattle, poultry farming. I have an opportunity to buy a 1949 8n (rebuilt, new tires,paint etc.) for $2500. But with no live hyd.(non live pto, no ps,no H/L,) I'm wondering if this will be a good working tractor? Having to engage the pto on hay rakes,tetters,etc. in order to lift them could be annoying. comments?
