: : : : I have A 1946 Farmall A can I turn this engine into a super C engine by changing sleeves and pistons I am looking for some more power is this
: : : : all I need to do or if I can at all are the cam's
: : : : or head different?help!!!
: : : The lower sleeve bore in a C113 block is smaller than a C123 block. There may be overbore kits available to increase your stock bore to 3 1/8", but C123 sleeves will not fit. If you need a new cam, get one for a C135, but if yours is good, run it. The head for the C123 has slightly larger valves, but again, if you can grind your seats and have a good head, run it. Semi dome pistons will help raise compresion/hp, but be prepared to go to 12volt start/charge system.

: : I'm also wanting to swap a farmall A engine with
: : a Super C ( put the A engine on the C ), will it
: : work ? bolt up etc. Other than horsepower it looks
: : like the same engine. I really need some advice on
: : this. Thanks,Doug Curtis

: Super A engine will fit. Straight A block did not have a cut out to mount the hydraulic pump.

So, are you saying that the straight A will work but not be able
to use hydraulics, or that it just will not work
on a Super C ?
Thanks,Doug
