Was behind a brand new Subaru in traffic the other night (no plates, still had the 10 day MN license permit in the back window). There was a big, fancy, high dollar, but empty bike rack hanging out of the hitch. Not unusual to see a bike rack on a Subaru but in the middle of winter? The rack was caked with road salt and 2" of frozen slush. I assume it was all about looks though because the back of the car was also already covered with tree hugger and liberal bumper stickers...big surprise.
Also...always have to laugh when I see the folks with the big 2500 diesel pickups hauling their bikes on a hitch mounted bike rack...especially when the box is empty.
