I had read some replies on YT last week that gave the impression that they really swindled old people and climmbed all over the stuff in the barns like a bunch of drunk teens. I've watched a couple of shows and don't think they are too out of line. They are searching through piles of "junk" and the old folks seem to hold their own in the negotiations. Mrs. G was a bit put off, but I look at it this way, how many of those "collectors" would ever do anything to market their stuff versus how many of them would let it sit and rot and be wasted? The pickers know what they are looking for and have spent time and no doubt money building their business and market contacts and we have to expect them to make something off their efforts. That ugly van doesn't run on sunshine.
