From what little I know about them, the only draw back to them is the fuel mileage. The tranny is a 4l80e. It's not as good as the Allison 1000(duramax), but still a very good transmission. If it's never towed heavy and has low miles, it should be fine. As long as it doesn't get too hot, they'll last a long time. It'll have a 14 bolt FF axle, and a 9.25 front diff, and what looks like a very good frame. The only thing I can think of that can have problems at high mileage is the X-fer case. Should be a np263(E-shift) or np261(manual shift), the weakness is something to do with the slip yoke. No issues with the 6.0, especially not in 2006. I don't think they ever had any problems, even in 1999.
