Ken I have used rust reformer a lot for probably about 10 years and love it. I don't think that the brand matters. I just follow the instructions. I don't like rust on any of my equipment, so during maintenence I'll dab it on the rust. sometimes after cleaning something I'm going to paint I'll put the reformer on before priming. I've had very good longevity with it. good luck.
