Have a model 917-256600 craftsman lawn tractor and having trouble getting primary belt to stay on. put it on, and as soon as i engage the deck blades, it twists. calls for a belt p/n 148763 which is supposed to be 5/8 x 85-3/8". the belt i have measures closer to 85 long. could this be the problem??? Please help!! have NEVER had this problem replacing a belt. don't have the manual on this mower as i bought it used. Thanks.
