Have you an F04 manual for this tractor yet? If not, you really need one as it's got lots of information. Timing the 2N is done with the distributor off of the tractor (only takes two bolts). Then you need a straight edge (a metal ruler works well). The F04 manual has a fairly decent illustration of the procedure. While the distributor is off the tractor, you should check to make sure that the advance weights are functioning. Not having power once warmed up can have lots of causes -- did it work ok before the work you describe? If yes, some adjustment is probably needed in the parts that were rebuilt. If not, it's possibly something else.
