with a tube intake n header, some good cyl head work, steel flywheel n blanket. The old pickups redlined around 4000 rpm, I think around 135 hp for a 3.5625 bore x 4.39 stroke with tilt valved cyl head. You want 301 firecraters with truck head n high rpm. A governor off of a 544IH with the C-200 4cyl gas engine will help it rev up over 3000 with very little alteration. You get a steel flyhweel n a blanket soon.
