CAFPC Meeting Results and Hoopla

Posted by Mopower on October 26, 2009 at 11:51:47 from (64.208.152.149):

Good afternoon pullers,

It's unclear how many CAFPC members/pullers use YTmag pulling forum, but it will be ONE of the vessels used for communication throughout the 2010 season.

As a result of yesterday's meeting, plans were made for our club's Christmas party, the next meeting date determined, and new officers elected.

Our Christmas party will be held at the Hubbarston VFW with our friends from the Lyons Riverbend Club. Ken Schrauben will be unable to cater our meal this year. With many common members and friends, combining parties sounded like a great idea.

Our next meeting will be held Sunday, December 6th (?) at 10:00AM. With the start of deer season and the NATPA Wauseon pull after Thanksgiving, we thought it best to use this day prior the start of the Christmas hustle.

New officers are as follows:
-Dan Thelen replaces Vern McQueen as trustee
-Ethan Berry replaces Leroy Nurenburg as sec/tresurer
-Jeff Theis replaces Mike Schneider as Vice President
-Mike Schneider replaces Ken Schrauben as President

I would like to personally thank CAFPC members for inviting and electing me secretary/treasurer. There are big shoes to fill following Ken and Leroy's years of service to our club. I will do my absolute best to support and grow our club and sport in the future.

With Ken Schrauben's health problems, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He has been an enormous help to CAFPC for years. With God's help we wish him a speedy recovery so he'll be able to put his voice through the track speakers for 2010.

It is also an eventful time for the Weber family. Casey Weber is off to the Army soon. The club members had a mountain of advice, good wishes, and prayers for her safety in the following years.

Mr. and Mrs. Marky Weber are celebrating their anniversary. Mrs. Weber was in quite the rush to get to the casino to celebrate. I didn't ask if they reserved the honeymoon suite, but Marky soaking in a pink heart shaped hot tub was a mental picture worth a thousand words. Words I won't mention.

It will be difficult to keep an eye on Marky Weber. That role will remain the responsibility of Mr. Nurenburg. I will rely on 4th hand rumors. By the time they reach me, they will be much more interesting.

The state legislature is considering adding the crime of "Grand Theft Gator" to its books. Details are sketchy at this point. Marky had the right to remain silent, but not the ability. He admitted he wasn't alone in this crime. Perhaps the legislature should add "Conspiracy to Commit Grand Theft Gator."

See ya'll in the coming months.
