If you have the panel off and mess up, it is easy to repaint. If I wanted to use a rattle can, I would just buy the best paint I could find. I don't believe the 170 will give you problem, although when I have used rattle cans on small parts, I usually use rattle can primer made by the same company. Otherwise you can bite the bullet and buy a pint of MTK. Expensive, but you will be sure of the results.
