I just painted my JD Tractor with JD Green paint and an automotive hardener. The paint guy said the hardener i used would give the tractor a nice glossy wet look. However, after painting the tractor i found that the glossy areas were hit and miss, some parts of the tractor were dull and others glossy. I mixed the paint and hardener vigorously before I painted. Anyway, I want a nice glossy, wet look. I just finished putting the parts back on the tractor and i need to do some touching up. Do i buy a high gloss hardener and mix it with the JD green and go over the tractor again, or do I touch up the tractor with the paint and hardener I have now and then go over the tractor with clear coat to make it glossy? Is it ok to paint the tractor again even a week after i originally painted it? Would I need to mix hardener with the clear paint if I went that route? Can anyone recommend a high gloss hardener to use? PLease help. I appreciate any responses you can give me.
