thanks guys. i appreciate the help. i know you almost always get what ya pay for i just didn't know what i was paying for in paint. now i know. i think i'll try some clearcoat with uv protection that my autobody guy said works quite well. i'll try it on a small part first to make sure it reacts well with alkyd enamel. i like doing things right the first time so my next tractor i think i'll use automotive paint. would rather pay more and not have to do it again. for a novice painter (with a couple decent guns and supplied air mask) what paint would you recommend? dupont centari? ppg omni? other?
