The "D", "SD" and "Super D" were small garden tractors with a single cylinder air-cooled wisconsin engine, 12 inch tyres on the front and 22 or 24 inch tyres on the rear. The "S" and "SD" have a tiller bar steering set up on it and the "Super D" has a steering wheel instead. The "SD" & "Super D" have hoods covering the engine and the "D" does not.
I have seen many "D" and "SD" tractors converted to a steering wheel because it is a more familiar set up to drive, so a steering wheel may not be original to the tractor. Post a photo in the "Help Identify" section of this site and you will get plenty of responses!
A "E" series gibson is a large garden or small farm tractor with a twin cylinder air-cooled wisconsin engine, 24 inch rear tyres, drop axles with bull gears and a platform about 3 feet off the ground where you sit. An "H" has a 4 cylinder water cooled hercules engine and is a small to medium (at that time) farm tractor and the even larger "I" model has a 6 cylinder hercules engine, also water-cooled.
