Those diagrams are excellent, it looks like the closest to what I have is the 12v a la Tisco. except that one doesn't use the solenoid, and the ammeter is wired directly to the alt on that diagram, where the diagram I used, (maybe makes no difference) the larger alt wire and left ammeter meet at the center or 3rd post on the resistor block.
On my existing solenoid, there are 2 large posts right & left, and 2 smaller ones front center, marked 'S' and 'I';
Large + batt cable is attached to left large side post. Also attached to that post is #10AWG wire that is connected to 's' on switch.
Right side large post has heavy cable attached to starter motor.
On solonoid post 'S' the wire runs up to the right side ammeter post.
There is nothing attached to front smaller post "I" on solenoid
