Thanks Bruce, I ordered new coil, points, conden, gaskets etc...I will follow all these instructions, thanks for the tips on checking it before installing...that could really save some headaches...I just took the dist off and got it on the bench, it dont look good, it seems the gaskets gave out long ago and has alot of corrosion in spots, I'm sure atleast a film of corrosion is in places it shouldnt be...I'm gonna test it all with the meter before I take it all aprt and see if I can pin point the problem, even though I am replaceing everything...I got a spark tester today and found that the spark was intermitent at best, and real weak when it did spark on all plugs wires.
UPDATE:
Just checked the point gap, it was about .003 !...lol, and the points were not exactly paralell to eachother, everything else on the check list was ok, surprisingly, kinda nasty inside this thing.
