Hey Gents...I did some work on the early 8n, got a new rotor and cap while I was at it, I realized I didnt get the gasket for the dist cap, and now dont recall if one was actually on it, anyway it seems to be getting a weak spark, doest want to start, it will once in a while act like its firing but jus for a second, wondering if the missing gasket would cause this...Before the work was done it started and ran fine, But since I had it apart dedcided to change those items...Also since I may have to order the gasket, Can a coil be weak ?...Everything on this 8n was rewired for 12V but I think the coil is original, If I get a new coil should it be the 6 or 12volt ?..I'm thinking if I need to go back to the dist. maybe just get points, coil, condensor, since these are probly all atleast 20 years old.
