Checking the output on a 6v generator....
I took a lead and connected the genny post with the 6 volt lamp. I grounded the lamp to the battery. I did this with the tractor running. The lamp was tested and is good. Lamp did not light even a little. Did I do that right? I'm taking the genny in Monday to an auto-electric shop and having someone who knows about these things test it also. Spinning my wheels is getting me no where here. Until I can determine that the genny is working there is not a lot of point in going any further on this part of the tractor. I don't have a single known quantity in this system except the battery.
