I don't know where to get a tire but I can tell you about plowing snow without chains. I have an 1949 8N that I use with a back blade to push snow out of my paved driveway. I do not have chains nor are my tires loaded. I am in south central PA where is does not snow very much or very often. However, sometimes we do get dumped on. I have always been able to clear my rather flat 200 foot paved driveway but with some difficulty. More then once I have slid off the pavement and had to dig my tractor out. Pushing any amount of snow over several inches is difficult and time consuming. Any amount of ice makes the job much more difficult. Straight tires will get the job done in most cases but you need a lot more time and a lot more patience. A gravel drive may be easier and you may get better traction.
