I disassembled the steering box on my 2n/9n Hybrid to repair a botched weld repair previously made on the casting where the start button is mounted. There must have been two or three pounds of nasty looking grease in there, however none of it appeared to be in the area where lube is needed ie. where the pinion mates with quadrants. The quadrants appear OK but the pinion is rusty worn and dry. What is the proper lube for the steering box and how is it applied, thanks for any info.
