None of you know but I have been being treated For colon cancer since July. ( doing very good with a good outlook). My new best friend is my Radialogy/ Oncology Nurse,Diane. I have been emailing her for a while, and just before Veterans Day as a sign off I told her to " thank a Vet" Here is her reply. " Hey Joe Just wanted to let you know that I took your advice and made a point of thanking all the patients today that are veterans. I cannot tell you the reaction I received. These men and often their wives were truly touched. It afforded them the opportunity to discuss their years of service, good and bad times, meeting their spouses etc. It felt great!!! So now I am thanking you for not only your service to our country but also for reminding me how important all you brave men and women have been to my life and freedoms. I salute you.
