In my 25+ years of owning a front mount, '49 8N, 6v, positive ground, one wire Chevy 10si alternator, 8N *236763*, I did many years ago, buy one one new coil, I wish I knew what went with the old one.
I haven't even been thru about 3 sets of points in that time, and very little maintainence do I do on them, dayum thing just works, and is always ready to go to work when I am, ran her about 6 hours this afternoon.
I got tired, and it got dark, but she was still ready to work, when I put her down for the night.
