When I read your first post I thought about maybe you might have a problem getting it out. Seems that some of the shafts get a mushroomed effect on the spline end and others found the spline to be twisted. I find it somewhat hard to believe a hardened shaft could get twisted, but other clame it has so maybe it could. I found the front end of the splined shaft to be mushroomed oversize by a few thousands of an inch when I took mine out. I risked doing some major damage and forced it out, but luckly no damage was done. Others claimed to cut the shaft with a sawzall or a fire torch to get it out. As I recall mine only came out less then an inch before it stopped; your may be almost thru at two inches. If it were mine, I would pull and tap a bit more on the cap and hope it came out before I spoke the words "OH CHIT WHAT DID I BREAK NOW!??!!!"
