MM Corn Picker Questions

I just bought a single row MM corn picker. It is a model SH Huskor. The serial number is 114003. How old is this machine? I only have a few acres in corn, dryland in central Nebraska, so the low capacity of this machine is not a problem. The Huskor is complete, but has been sitting out for a long time and will need a good bunch of cleaning and replacement of wood and rubber parts. Also it will need a good oiling and greasing. I need to know how good these pickers are when field ready? If they are not that reliable or don't do a good job, then I would be wasting my time working it over. I also have a New Idea 6A two row, but it needs a little more work. If it is the better picker, then I will work it over instead. How good are the Moline pickers and how do they stack up against the old 6A New Idea machines? Thanks!
