Moline GBD and MF 95 Rear end

I am looking at a GBD that where the rear end was replaced with a MF 95 rear end. The owner said that everything bolted up fine, but now the PTO doesn't work. Any ideas as to what went wrong and what it's going to take to fix it? I would like to have an idea what kind of money I'm going to be sticking into this tractor after I buy it. I would have thought that, since a GBD and a MF 95 are basically the same tractor that putting this rear end on would not have been a problem.
