Unfortunately most of what you asked about is different on my 202 so I can't help much.
The brakes are basic drum brakes, once you get the rear wheels off there are screws (large flat head)) which hold the drums in place. Once the drum is off it's pretty much standard brakes. When you are in there working on the brakes it would probably be a good idea to replace the seals, might save you some time down the road.
The leak at the steering column seems pretty common. The control valve for the power steering resides below the dash on the column. If it is worn out it may be the source of the leak. I have seen others on here who put a new top seal in only to have it leak again. Not to scare you but parts for the power steering on these tractors are expensive but with a front end loader you NEED the power steering. When I got my 202 someone had removed all the hoses and hyd. cylinders for the power steering system. The valve was worn beyond repair and pitted from the ports being left open. I was looking at the better part of $1600 to get it all working again. I ended up designing my own power steering system using the loader hydraulics and a CharLynn power steering valve. Now with the bucket fully loaded with gravel (or anything else) I can steer it with one finger.
