The unit isn't going to actually be "in" the rail car, it will be sitting on top of the sides. I imagine that to get it back off, the operator would simply "reverse procedure" and unload it. As the operator empties one part of the car, he will slide the unit down the sides and unload another part. When that car is empty, he could easily slide onto the next one in front. I would say that the car shown is the end of several. The ones I have seen on rail cars have been on gondola cars - not hopper cars. The gondolas are substantially shorter in height and it would be easier to put a loader on and off in this manner.
