I had a lot of trouble with the gears down under that plate on the left hand front of mine. There's a slip clutch in there,then a pair of gears,taper bearings on the shaft,another pair of gears in a sealed box. Just seemed like a whole bunch more moving parts than they needed to have. The parts manager at the dealer gave me way too much attitude when I wanted parts for it too. It's got melted down a year and a half ago.
