The tractor has independent pto and the eight speed transmission. I looked in the hydraulic filler hole and see no oil spraying. I do notice some oil dripping in there but does not appear bad at all. Also hydraulic oil was replaced with new Hygard from JD and transmission screen was checked to make sure clean. One thing I would like to rule out is the lines for pto that require splitting of the tractor. If one of those lines are damaged wouldnt you have loss of pto hydraulic power when operating pto?? I assume my lines are fine because when bushhogging I have no pto slip and hear the motor working as mowing gets tougher in tall grass. i have noticed sometimes when I start the tractor I hear a hydraulic noise. I notice if I tap the diesel fuel pedal it stops or I can just move the pto lever back on and then off real quick and the noise stops. Could there be an issue with the pto valve that could cause the 3 point hitch to shutter when raising? I would think that if it was a bad rock shaft seal that the 3 point all the time when idleing would shudder when raising. Mine just does it sometimes which leades to think a faulty valve such as the pto. I have not tested hydraulic pressue yet because I have no gauge and not reall positive where to tap into hydraulic system. Tractor has no remotes on back. As mentioned it could be valve by screen.
