My first JD tractor was JD "G". It would leak anti-freeze into the cylinders if it set more than a few weeks. I had the engine completely apart and check out. Nothing could be found wrong. I owned the tractor for thirty years it did it until I sold it and the new owner says it still does it.
My solution was if I was going to be using it in a month or so I just opened the pet cocks when I went to start it. It would blow the water out the pet cocks. For over the winter I just removed the spark plugs and filled the cylinders with diesel fuel. That would keep it from rusting the cylinder walls. I then just spun it over a few time and re-installed the spark plugs.
