If you purchase an early manual it will likley only cover one type. In Example the manual may be specific to a 44 or a 44H or a 44A or 44AH. If you get the later manual it will cover all types and be several more pages.
It may be benificial to decide what type you have now so you can be looking for the correct manual now.
There is a manual on ebay now for a plain #44 with no A or H designation.
Designations:
A=plow rides on three wheels even when out of the ground. H=Hydraulic lift.
There were some different styles of hitches offered on the later 44's as well that were not offered on the earlier style.
