We just picked up a Scotts/JD 1642H hydro trans. lawntractor which operates about like yours, ie. engine runs well, mower engages OK, but tractor doesn't move. The Forward/Neutral/Reverse shift handle seems to be "stuck", and doesn't move easily as it should.
Checked the belts, seem to be turning OK, but wondered if the problem is in the transaxle somewhere (anybody?).
