Not sure if I understand you - but there is no good way to make the 3-point arms split the wood for you. As you know, there is no down pressure, so you can't just drop the 3-point on the log - only weighs 50 lbs or so. You would need either of the splitters described in another message. I just picked up a screw type, Bark Buster, for $100 at an auction. Hey, can you still get the tips for these if the point gets broken? --->Paul
