Look up on the hydro pump where the control cable from the hydro lever in the cab connects with the controller on the hydro pump. It looks like a fork that is straddling a 1/2" x 1" x 3" long block of steel hooked to the hydro control valve. Over time, the fork wears back and the block gets a groove worn in it. If this is the case, take them both off and rebuild them with a welder. I have had them worn enough that you can gain back 1-1.5 mph in second and 2-3 mph in third.
