I have a Cub Cadet model 149 with a front PTO Clutch. As near as I can tell the clutch is slipping. My manual says that the clutch is set at factory and should not need adjusting and does not give any instructions on adjusting it.

Can anyone provide instructions for adjusting? Also can anyone describe the inner working of the clutch? What grabs what to turn the belt?

Additional info:

With the PTO engaged and mower deck lowered the belt at the PTO spins slowly. You can almost read the number on the belt. The belt is new and is adjusted tight. Raising the mower deck up and the sin increased dramatically. Lowering the deck and it will cut fine but will slow down again after 5 or 20 min of cutting.
