MTD Task Force Identification

A friend of mine recently aquired a MTD riding lawn mower, but does not know where to get parts for it. The only reporting marks on the exterior are the words "Task Force" written on the side. The mower has a 12 HP briggs and Stratton I/C engine in it and has a six-speed transmission in it (from what I hear, a MTD standard). This would be a great help, because I am a Gravely professional and have no experience with MTD or its respective divisions (the only work I have done on one was when I cannabalized a Lawn Machines (I believe Lawn machines is a MTD model, as well as Cub Cadet) tractor to use for parts on a go-cart I built when I was 17). I also know that MTD is a messed up corporation and that iyt has gone through some changes an shut down some lines of equipment, so it may no longer exist in the eyes of MTD. Any and all help is appreciated.
