I'm in the process of buying a lawn tractor. My friend has a 3 year old MTD" Yard Machine 12.5 HP, model 690-691, Briggs & Stratton engine, shift on the go that she will sell me for $675.00. I checked at Walmart and new ones are $799.00 for the same thing. Would I be better off getting a used one with the kinks out of it or the new new. I have also looked at a Craftsman 16.5 hp for $999.99, but I had bought a Craftsman 6 hp Self propelled mower last year and am going to take it back because it stinks. I can never get it started.. I'm a single lady so need something easy to use. I do not have a very big yard, but need something that starts easily. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Marcia
